For eight consecutive years, Los Angeles has seen a growth in tourism and an increasing demand for more accommodation and entertainment facilities to make each visitor’s experience a fun and entertaining one. General contractors in Los Angeles continue to construct more hospitality buildings to meet this increasing demand and to ensure visitors keep coming back.

We searched hundreds of contractors to come up with this list of the best in LA. Contractors on this list have been evaluated based on the number and quality of hospitality projects they have built in the city, the awards and the recognition they have received, and their professional affiliations. These contractors have built some of the most historic, visited buildings not only in Los Angeles but across the nation, as well.

 

 

Abbott Construction

Abbott Construction is a commercial construction company that was founded in 1983. The firm has built a reputation for its superior project management, high-quality standards, and excellent craftsmanship. Headquartered in Seattle with offices in Los Angeles and Portland, the firm builds in multiple markets including retail, healthcare, non-profit, commercial office, mixed-use developments, exterior remediation, and seismic improvements.

H Club, a luxury and members-only venue, is among Abbott’s most noteworthy hospitality projects. The firm transformed the original Redbury Hotel into this exclusive club which features a new pool, a sky bridge, a performance space, a recording studio, a film screening room, 35 luxury bedroom suites, a gym, spa, and an exclusive rooftop restaurant and open-air cinema.


davisREED Construction

Founded in 2002, davisREED Construction serves Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, Palm Springs, and Napa with general contracting services. Led by Derek Davis, the firm specializes in constructing in the hospitality, education, office, and multifamily sectors. Throughout the years, the firm has gained repeat clients including Marriott, the Four Seasons, Kimpton, and Renaissance.

At 1800 Argyle Avenue, davisREED constructed the Kimpton Everly Hotel. Featured in Forbes in 2017, the 16-story hotel features eleven stories of hotel, three levels of above-grade parking, and two levels of below-grade parking. Additional features include a magnificent rooftop pool and a sun deck seating area. To make way for the construction of the hotel, an existing 38,000-square-foot five-story office building was demolished.


DLD Consulting and Construction

Pacific Empire Builders

For the room’s design, the firm used earth tones and matched the color of the furniture with the paint color as well as the tile and backsplash in the bathroom.


Ramland Construction

Webcor Construction
